Troubadour Blonde Ale‏--JT's Review

I really had no idea what I was getting when I put this beer in a sampler pack the other night. It has a cool bottle, it is brewed by Brouwerij De Musketiers (which I can't even pronounce), and it is 6.8 ABV. Why wouldn't I try it?

It is considered a Belgian Pale Ale, but it was pretty dark when I poured it in a glass. The taste was all over the place. The malts were very sweet, almost like cane sugar, followed by a taste of orange and then pineapple. The after taste comes quickly with strong hops that disappeared almost as soon as you started to taste them.

This was different than anything I have ever had before, but not bad, just different.
