Sudwerk Doppel Bock‏--JT's Review

Just about everything that I have had from Sudwerk has been really good! There Doppel Bock was no exception. I assume that this is a seasonal, but it wasn't even listed on their website. I found it on the build your own isle at Macadoodle's in Springdale.

It is a strongly malted bock beer with a ton of great flavor. The malts were strong and prevalent, and then there was a solid sweet chocolate flavor. The tone was a combination of toasted malts and sweet chocolate. The hops were a little more involved that I would have liked, but not too much. At a very solid 8% ABV, it turned out to be a winner!

During the cold of winter, I am learning to really enjoy these thick strong seasonals.
