Shiner Bohemian Black Lager

I was a little disappointed in this beer.  It, by no means, is a bad beer!  I was just expecting a little more.  The Shiner original is very flavorful, so I figured the Black Lager would follow suit.....not really the case.  I try to compare all the black/dark lagers that I have had.  This one was just pretty good.  I was expecting more flavor.....something like Guinness Black Lager or Abita Turbo Dog.

If you get a chance, go to the Shiner website.  I was amazed by all the different beers that they are brewing down there in Shiner, TX.  I would love to take a field trip there with my boy JT!!

    I couldn't agree more. I really like Shiner beer, but the black lager left a lot to be desired. It was almost a hollow flavor. I expected it to be a lot more rich and malty, but it just wasn't there for me.

    I am totally in for a road trip to Shiner, Texas!
